Coaches Wanted

Eagles continually attract dozens of enquiries from boys and girls looking to play basketball. Our challenge is to find new coaches willing to take on a team.

If you are interested in coaching a team of any age please get in contact. We will support you with the training costs and support you throughout the season in arranging courts and matches etc so you can concentrate on playing basketball and having fun.

2019/20 Season Registration Forms

All player registrations need to be made via the Basketball England web site for the current and future seasons.

Panthers and Eagles join forces

06/08/16: We are pleased to announce that this coming season there will be a formal affiliation between the Haywards Heath Panthers and Haywards Heath Eagles. The Panthers have been the Men's section of Eagles historically but the teams have not been well linked of late so it is great that this pathway from Youth to Men's is now being clearly established.

South East U13s Boys win the Nationals

03/07/16: The South East U13s boys team were undefeated in this years regional tournament and claimed the title of National Champs. Well done to all Eagles boys who tried out for the team a year young. Next season let's get some Eagles boys and girls involved in the regional programs.

U12s moving onwards and upwards

30/01/16: Another win for our U12s Saturday against the Cagers Crusaders. 63-32. All players got on the scoresheet and the teamwork and defensive hustle were outstanding. Captain Alex Thompson names his MVP as Khobie Smith and MIP as Harry Baker.

Coach Nick comments: "The boys were extremely sharp on
defense and executed our half court trap with great effect. Our team now has great strength and depth and we have exceptional potential. We will aim to enter the National League next season and this February's Hoop Dreams tournament at ASC will be a good test for the boys."

Eagles U18s scrimmage against London Thunder

28/01/16: Our Eagles U18s travelled to the Thunderdome to scrimmage against the London Thunder, coached by Steve Bucknall, ex-NBA and current England U18s Head Coach. Our boys competed in closely fought matches against the Thunder U16s, U18s and Men's team. Thanks to coaches Matt and Scott Pettit for giving up their time and our club chairman Howard for driving the minibus. Great experience and exposure for our 18s. A stella job boys!

Eagles U18s train with the NTS Suns

10/01/16: A strong combination of talent was witnessed today when our Eagles U18s combined with the NTS Suns for some quality practise and a friendly scrimmage. A massive thank you to Gregg and Sarah Ganniclefft, Team Managers and founders of the NTS Suns, for organising the event. Thank you also to all attending Eagles players and coaches.

Professional Photography available this Friday 13th November at Warden Park

09/15: Attention parents and players!

We have a free Friday next week (13th November) with no age groups playing in competitive games. I have organised for a professional photographer to come to Warden Park between 6-8 to take pictures of players and teams. If you are available please come along from 6, in your Eagles Kit (I will bring extras) and show off your best basketball poses for the camera! If we have enough players from each squad then we would like to run a friendly match as follows:

-1st quarter: U11s VS U12s
-2nd quarter: U13s Boys VS U13s Girls
-3rd quarter: U11s VS U12s
-4th quarter: U13s Boys VS U13s Girls
-Overtime Period: U18s All Stars Exhibition, dunk contest and 3 point shoot out.

We will have teas and coffees and parents are welcome to have photographs taken with their children. Another great Christmas gift opportunity provided for you by the Eagles! I will also bring sample T-shirts for players to try on and order. Thank you to all of those who have already done so.

Photographs will be available to view and purchase through our website.
We will also be looking to use these photographs on our club posters and banners.

Please note that this is applicable for registered players only whose consent we have for photography.
Please also note that our photographer, Jason, will be available on other occasions, including age group training sessions and competitive home matches so please don't worry if you are unavailable on this occasion.

What a fantastic start to the season we have had with our U18s remaining dominant and undefeated, our U13s having a convincing win home to Worthing Friday night and our U12s yesterday staging a spectacular 19 point, 4th quarter comeback to lose by 1! A special mention to our U11s who are expanding at an exponential rate. They are really starting to gel and play some smart basketball. Also, coach Andy Wellman has organised our first Eagles all girls side who have their first match coming up in a few weeks.

Go Eagles!

Photo Competition

09/15: Attention parents and players!

The club is currently in the process of acquiring a new game day banner and getting some poster work done.
The banners and posters will feature our club logo and motto. We would also like to include photographs of current players, both individual and team. We are therefore launching a club photo competition and requesting that any photographs you have of your child, or any present club member, playing basketball (not necessarily for Eagles) be entered into our competition with the chance of featuring on our game day banner or posters.

Please email entrees to: nickmcadam@hotmail.com ASAP. Winning entrees will not only have the chance to feature in our club banner or poster but get a free, hot off the press, Eagles T-shirt!

Non-digital photographs may be useable so please give these directly to your child's coach and they will be scanned and returned.

Off to a flying start!

09/15: Congratulations to all age groups who have made an excellent start to the 2015-2016 season. The club has experienced a massive intake of players at the U11s and U12s age groups and will be looking to build on these teams as the season progresses. Our U13s and U18s sides both look extremely strong this season and our U18s have made a great start to their campaign by winning their two opening matches.
Go Eagles!
